Our firm was founded by DeSilver G. Drew and Edna M.
Drew in 1925.
They moved the offices to our present location at
159 Linwood
Avenue in Buffalo
in 1941.
DeSilver G.
Drew was admitted to the bar in 1919 and practiced until his
death in 1974. He
accepted engagements primarily in matters involving civil
litigation. He
represented clients in wide variety of matters including real
estate and will contests but was best known for his work in
the involving personal injury and land condemnation
claims. A
professional Shakespearean actor before entering law school,
DeSilver G. Drew’s courtroom style was legendary in the
Western New York area.
Edna M. Drew
was admitted to practice in 1921 and practiced until her death
in 1973. She
concentrated her practice in the areas of real estate, estate
planning and
estate probate and, over her 50-plus years in practice,
represented a great variety of clients, often helping them
through very difficult periods, always adding a personal sense
to her work as their legal representative and advisor.
Dean A. Drew, the son of DeSilver and Edna, joined the
firm upon admission to the bar in 1953.
Dean M. Drew,
the son of Dean A. Drew, joined the firm upon admission to the
bar in 1978.
Drew &
Drew LLP celebrated its 75th anniversary in
practice in the year 2000 and looks forward to continuing to
provide legal representation in the new century.
